Our Background
Rai Cleaning commenced business in 2006 when Sharon Rai realised that she could build a business that was better than the cleaning contractors that she had worked for previously. Specifically, she saw a need for the following:
- A service that meets the needs of clients reliably and efficiently, whilst still providing a safe and dignified workplace for staff.
- A service that is cost-effective and high-quality with minimal fuss.
- A service that inspires people to be the very best in all that they do.

Rai Cleaning Services
Sharon left her native country of India in 2004 to build a better life for herself in Australia. After overcoming the initial challenges of migrating to a new country and learning a new language, Sharon commenced working for a cleaning contractor to support herself. Within a short period of time she realised that she could provide a better, more efficient and reliable cleaning service so she started her own company, Rai Cleaning.
Sharon built Rai Cleaning on delivering great value to clients and meaningful work for her staff. As someone who had previously worked for other contractors, she is fully aware that many cleaning contractors take advantage of their staff which not only negatively impacts on their dignity, but also negatively impacts their performance.
The core business values of Rai Cleaning, are based on Sharon’s own experiences and desire to create a better world in the best way she knows how.
